The garlic bread and butter croissant taste good.
Wantan noodle is just average for me.
Service is good and fast.
After weeks of suppressed curiosity and craving, I finally set foot in this corner coffee shop. My eyes were locked-on a stall serving steamed ginger fish slices with vermicelli. A particular type of noodles were used, which retained the texture when cooked. Extraordinary and mouth-watering good taste. The fried kwey-teow also worth trying.
Their pan mee stall is open only in the morning and afternoon. I love their pan mee (both soup and dry, but the dry one is AMAAAAZZZING). I keep coming back almost every few days ? Add an egg.. And you’ll definitely fall in love!! I also love their Sam Kan Cheong, which is also open in the morning and afternoon only!!
There is roti bakar kawin but no roti stim. The roti bakar was actually slightly burnt. The kopi C is disappointingly lacking of evaporated milk.
Tried the Taiping duck egg fried kuehteow. Worth the try. But the chicken rice is definitely below par.
Perhaps next time will give the sam-kan-chung noodles a try. Maybe even the “pan-mee”. Asam laksa is almost like you can get in Penang but the price (RM8) is a huge difference from the market stalls in Penang (RM5).
This corner shoplot is quite spacious as there are available space for tables at the side. Parking could be a challenge depending on the time of the day.
My favourite food in this kopitiam is the steamed ginger minced pork rice noodles.
