a month agoMy experience from staying 3 nights thereThey never clean the place. Toilet always dirty, There is person usually sleep in stairs, and they value money more,
We had miss understanding the reception lady she gives us a deal and then changed her mind, she is very rude, she started shouting at me LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SPEAK TO YOU, and then she called the manager which has no attitude either she started shouting loudly too, (not way to treat customers)
The reception is like store it opens at 10am-8pm and you have to wait until 3pm in order to do check-in
I would never stay there, again they ruin my trip

Here is would be great.” I has no chances to going to stay yet with me auntie apartment So, i choose to booked this budget hostel for my a short terms stays . It’s was a good location and closed to many restaurants. At the reception Chinese lady was great for me and let me early checking in. !Only one thing I was so upset a black guy wasn’t let me go inside to use the toilet even I beg for to get use ,it’s was happening before the reception was opening around 08:30 am .But one Asian guys are tried to help me out the door open to get the toilet use and then likes a one night I try to figure this out to fell asleep on the dining table coz, I wasn’t sleep well in my bed room.? whatever it’s were worth it for the budget. I would highly recommended for the budget travelers.a month agoCustomer service and facilities are very good. If you are looking for a budget hostel, I recommend Campbell Inn for you. I have stayed many times. Rooms are quite clean and their service is polite and nice.3 weeks agoWe booked the place for 5 days but it felt very uncomfortable for staying in Campbell Inn for even 1 hour. We thought of checking out and promptly asked for the refund, but the receptionist said no refund can be given. We were fine paying the small fine, but she kept on saying NO REFUND again and again.3 months agoStayed there during the F1 weekend. Love the location, vibrant neighbourhood with cool and original restaurants and bars, stores and markets. Easy to get vietnamese food or a fresh coconut in the next corner, an Indian pub close and the Metro and buses stations indeed give the place a thumbs up however, they have a weird concept about what hygiene means: – Dirty toilet/showers – Untidy room – Bedbugs – Dirty kitchen . The room is not really cheap . The staff is trying to do an effort but the management looks like they don’t care about their business I was planning to find another place but the city was fully booked.

a month agothis is a very old hotel (Aqueen hotel door card-key ?!) with super-tiny Deluxe Queen Room, the bed is 2-single smaller bed joined, everywhere in room is filled with dust: the TV, the cabinet, the air duct, air-con vents and even on the walls and ceilings. the shower are always flooded when showering.a week agoRooms are good. Not the best. Reception people didn’t provide me a 3 pin plug converter which i needed because the only electric plug in the room was 3 pin.2 weeks agoIt’s my second time coming back (Amrise Kitchener) but didn’t expect it would be worst.The room was assigned to us were; sink in the room was leaking, bathroom door cannot close, no youtube and lastly we tried to connect to WiFi but it was unsuccessful.
My partner wasn’t happy to the room that we was assigned too.
I would like you guys to improve by checking the facilities before assigned to any guests.
Overall my stay were okay just that the room was assigned wasn’t to our expectations. ? before this we would say that we would highly recommend but now we are not planning to go there back.
3 weeks agoI’d wished we checked google ratings before booking on airbnb. Those photos are not updated at all. Place is not clean. Outside the hall carpet is dirty. Always had cleaning cart parked there. Wifi is weak. TV doesn’t screen mirror. Towels we nice and new and fluffy. The sink and other parts are coming apart. Room is small but I’m guessing Singapore is like that? Mattress was hard, switched two rooms and the spring were really bad. Area is ok, close to everything we needed. People smoked in here and the vent goes to our room. Service is decent they were nice to give us a refund and helped whenever we reached out. Though I would not recommend nor would I stay again. Slept here 5 nights, not a single good rest night.3 months agoWorst hotel ever. I booked this room for my niece but i was so dismayed when i went to see her sleeping in that room. Ac has no remote control, dirty bed dirty toilet. Small room as well and ur back can feel the bed spring. Lousiest hotel ever!!!!!!!! Never ever ever go here!!!!! U will get a nightmare in ur entire life!!! Promise

Erstwhile Hotel Ascendre, One of the most comfortable rooms, spic and span + well equipped toilets, plus good service right in the heart of Geylang.
The rooms have been renovated in a cost effective manner from the previous ownership. But overall the services and attentiveness of the staff members, like Amit or Hao, was exceptional. Had a great time, as I stayed there for 3 nights. The common space was fairly equipped, so even if you have food leftovers you can put it in. The location is very easy to find and near around one of the best eateries Singapore has to offer. For the cost it comes at, it is very cheap and affordable as per SG standard. No hidden charges, no frills and jargon, so the check-in and check out was equally fast and efficient. Kudos to the staff members for being really chilled, yet on toes to help the guests.
Excellent rooms, with great service staff. Location looks and feels comfortable, rooms are a little small, but reasonably so. Only issue is at night, some loud music might be audible from the rooms, but that’s to be expected anyway due to the location. Many eateries around the area too.
Cons:
– they should start calling this a Hostel asap, not a hotel.
– bunk beds are too squeaky, you can track even the slightest movement of anyone in your room.
– the shower head is right above the toilet seat, never seen this before in my whole life.
– high probability of you intentionally/unintentionally touching your roommate’s feet.
– the locker is 100% hackable, only a 1 time use: even the staff knows about it.
Pros:
– the cleaning staff does a good job.
– its right next to grocery stores, bus stop, and MRT.
– the wi-fi is good, no issues there.
I mistakenly reserved female room and canceled the booking immediately after 3 minuites. I requested refund by E-mail three times, but no response and the payment has been done..
